About Us
Welcome!
I started Winterbourne Construction in 2002 after apprenticing under my grandfather - a man who built homes (and a reputation) the old-fashioned way: with patience, precision, and zero tolerance for shortcuts. He taught me to respect the work, the tools, and the people you’re building for, and that’s still the foundation I build on.
Since then, I’ve worked on everything from custom homes to remodels to complex commercial builds to creative reuse projects that started with a sketch on a napkin. Quite a few have made it onto HGTV and into magazines, which is always fun and flattering, but the real win is when someone walks through their finished space and says, “Yeah. This is it.”
These days, I live in the Walla Walla Valley with my family, which is a fitting, serendipitous full-circle experience as my wife’s family has over a hundred years of Walla Walla construction roots. We care deeply about this place, and about building in ways that make long-term sense. Passive design, aging-in-place features, reclaimed materials…that’s not a branding angle. It’s just how we think.
Whether it’s a Craftsman that needs new life, a house designed from scratch, or a structure that doesn’t yet know what it wants to be, I bring the same approach every time: listen closely, build carefully, and leave things better than I found them.
